Riku Pulli | Career Summary

Riku Pulli is the President of Digital Mining Technologies at Sandvik Mining, based in Tampere, Finland. With over 20 years at Sandvik, he has been instrumental in advancing automation, digitalization, and rock technology across the mining industry. 

Starting as a Project Engineer in 1999, Riku quickly moved into leadership roles, including Automation Engineering and R&D Manager (2002) and Head of Competence and Technology Development (2010).

In 2011, he became Vice President of Automation, driving Sandvik’s position as a leader in autonomous mining. He later served as President of Rock Drills and Technologies (2020) before taking on his current role in 2022.  

Today, Riku leads the development of digital mining solutions that make operations safer, smarter, and more sustainable, continuing to push the boundaries of mining innovation.
